The Damon® System is a faster, more comfortable way to straighten teeth. These braces are similar to traditional metal braces with one key difference. Rather than connecting the brackets and wires through elastic bands, Damon® brackets secure right into a unique sliding wire.
The self-ligating wire can move teeth faster and with less force. Plus, these braces can adjust independently, meaning you won’t need to visit the office to have your elastic bands tightened.

Damon® self-ligating braces treatments
At James River Orthodontics, we offer two types of Damon® self-ligating braces — metal and clear. Metal Damon® braces feature stainless steel brackets and a self-ligating archwire system. Damon® clear braces comprise ceramic brackets that blend with your teeth for inconspicuous treatment.
